Striking A Chord With John Mayer-John Teams with Nile Rogers and We Are Family Foundation to Support Troops

Seven (7) time Grammy-award winning musician, John Mayer headlined a benefit supporting Fisher House, NCIRE (Northern California Institute of Research and Education)/The Veterans Health Research Institute and the We Are Family Foundation in NYC on May 16, 2011. The event brought much needed attention and awareness to the affects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder on soldiers and the power of music to start the healing process. 

A screening of the film Striking A Chord, co-produced by award winning documentary filmmaker, Susan Cohn Rockefeller and We Are Family Foundation was followed by a panel discussion on PTSD moderated by Gerry Byrne, media executive, entrepreneur and former Marine Corps officer and Vietnam Veteran. Panelists include Dr. Shira Maguen, Lt. Colonel Scott Rainey, and Lt. Col. Scott Leonard. The highlight of the evening was a "lively" live auction (see above video)and acoustical performance by John Mayer. John also gave a witty and uplifting speech about his passion to help troops suffering from PTSD. He has demonstrated his concern in several prior events,including a benefit concert in San Diego, the annual John Mayer Trio Holiday Revue as well as a special appearance at Fort Pendleton where he spoke before a large group of veterans under treatment for the disorder.

Songs for Japan

Released on March 24,2011, this  voluminous double CD compilation of  38 classic and current pop songs on the Universal Record Group label is a project of the big three record companies to raise money for the Japanese Red Cross Society and support disaster relief efforts currently underway. The CD features songs by top recording artists and humanitarians such as John Lennon(Imagine-2010 remaster),Bob Dylan(Shelter From the Storm),John Mayer(Waiting On the World to Change), Beyonce(Irreplaceable),Black-Eyed Peas(Tribe),U2(Walk On),Springsteen(Human Touch),Elton John (Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me), Madonna(Miles Away), Sade(By Your side) and many others. John Mayer and Keith Urban to Perform at Tiger Woods Benefit April 30,2011

On April 30,  GRAMMY Award-winning artists,John Mayer and Keith Urban will take the stage at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas for the 2011 Tiger Jam, an exclusive, VIP concert event. They will join forces for an exciting evening that benefits the Tiger Woods Foundation.

John Mayer to Perform at Keith Urban Benefit

John Mayer is scheduled  to perform at Keith Urban's 'All For The Hall'.
John will join Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride and many others for Keith Urban's "We're All For The Hall" Benefit Concert on October 5 in Nashville.
